Straight off the SS19 runway, this LDV Waffle is seeing double; channelling the hybrid style of Sacai with help from two vintage Nike icons. Charged with colour, dimension and unexpected form, the layered up design is built from two retro runners; the LDV and the Waffle Daybreak. Taking the design lines of the LDV and the traction-fuelled sole of the Daybreak, Nike have created a next-level silhouette that Sacai has furthered with a contrasting primary colour palette and a protruding midsole insert. A ledge-like installation, the EVA-injected midsole is anything but subtle; championing innovation with an extension of the LDV’s original sole, while its double take on the Swoosh, tongue and lacing brings future-facing style to the archival hybrid.
